- BFA-NYIT 1990 My medium of choice is to paint on old window sashes. I paint on the reverse side of the glass and the frames, creating stunningly vibrant, visually explosive works of art. The motifs I choose are usually "still life" in nature but are anything but "still". They dance with their own whimsical energy and vivacious life force. I like juxtaposing primary colors and reducing the subject matter to it's cleanest,simplest form. I marry and blend foreground with background, creating optical illusions. I paint the glass until it's completely opaque, the colors then seem to bounce back at the viewer, "practically jumping off the wall visually".
- I am proud to be a member of the group A.R.T.I.S.T (Artists Response to Illegal State Tactics )a NYC Street Artist advocacy group formed in 1993, following the police crusades against street artists in NYC. Also to have been one, of a hand-full of Artists Plaintiffs, in the two successful Federal Court Cases that changed New York City law - establishing artists full First Amendment Rights when selling art in the public spaces of New York City[Bery v. City of New York et.al.1993-97] & [Lederman v. Giuliani et. al;1998-01]
